Our growing membership stands for an EV charging infrastructure roll-out that starts from the consumer needs, makes EV driving convenient across borders, and promotes an open-market model supported by open standards and protocols.
Function
ChargeUp Europe is looking for a driven, enthusiastic junior professional for the position of Communications intern, with a strong focus on data analysis and potentially graphic design. The intern will assist the Communications Coordinator, helping in particular with data analysis, and turning data into compelling visual narratives. The intern will also play an important role in the execution of ChargeUp Europe’s central communications campaign about the benefits of e-mobility, help execute the communications annual workplan, and provide support to ongoing communications activities, while servicing members’ needs. This position will offer an opportunity to develop a broad range of communications skills, both through direct experience and by exposure to a network of seasoned communications professionals from the membership, while honing data analysis skills as well as graphic design skills. It is particularly suitable for candidates who are interested e.g. in a career in data-driven journalism.
Expected tasks
1.Data-driven storytelling (65%)
- Actively research external publications and proactively identify key data that could be deployed in support of strategic ChargeUp Europe narratives
- Analyze and redevelop selected data to produce compelling data visualizations (charts, infographics, etc.) that enhance storytelling
2. Social media & Communications support (20%)
- Assist in drafting content for social media channels and ChargeUp Europe’s website (written content & visuals)
- Internal communication tasks & coordination support for content creation (research, drafting text, visuals)
3. Ad-hoc assistance to Communications Manager & Policy team (10%)
- Administrative support to the team. The tasks can include assisting in formatting documents, research, external communications.
4. Service to the members (5%)
- Respond to ad-hoc, communications-related requests from ChargeUp Europe members.
Please note that this list is non-exhaustive, and other tasks may be performed under this role.
Required skills and competencies
- Master’s degree in communications, social sciences, journalism or similar field
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Strong interest in e-mobility
- Good interpersonal skills
- Skills in graphic design related software for SoMe purposes (Canva or similar) are strongly preferred

Our offer
Start date: 1 December 2024. Length: 6 months
Contract type: CIP (la convention d’immersion professionnelle), full time, based in Brussels (flexible hybrid working regime)
Renumeration: approx. 1000 EUR per month
