Are you passionate about making a difference in the global neuroscience community? The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) to help elevate our presence and drive meaningful engagement with a global community of scientists across our diverse platforms.
Who We Are:
IBRO is a global nonprofit association representing over 90 neuroscience organizations. We are dedicated to advancing neuroscience research worldwide, supporting scientists through education, training, and international programs. As a leader in the field, we manage an annual budget of ~$4.5 million USD, investing in a more diverse and inclusive future for brain research.
Your Role:
As our new CEC, you’ll play a crucial role in amplifying IBRO’s impact by:
- Coordinating both online and onsite events to enhance visibility
- Managing our social media platforms, crafting and executing dynamic campaigns
- Supporting active engagement with IBRO’s member organizations and fostering strong relationships within the neuroscience community
- Developing strategies to engage the public and drive awareness of neuroscience research
What You’ll Bring:
We’re seeking someone with:
- Experience in a nonprofit or similar environment
- Experience in social media management, including content creation (Canva), and preparation of impact metrics
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)—a must for all communications
- A self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently as required and to collaborate effectively within a small team
