About the Electrification Alliance

We are an alliance of associations that believes electrification is the future of the European Union’s energy system. The Electrification Alliance consists of the following member organisations:

The Electrification Alliance’s goal is to push for a fast electrification of Europe’s energy system, providing multiple benefits to the European economy and citizens. 

We are seeking a highly motivated professional who has a passion for the energy transition, helping the Alliance to increase its impact on policy making, driving the advocacy work and coordinating the work of the Alliance, the European economy and citizens.

Your profile

  • You are passionate about the energy transition, and have a strong interest in EU Energy and climate policies; 
  • You are a strategic thinker and tactical implementer, able to develop clear and efficient advocacy strategies in a complex regulatory environment;
  • You have strong organizational skills and are a convener, able to facilitate joint positions;
  • You are a skilled advocacy expert, with a deep knowledge of the European energy policy landscape;
  • You are an excellent communicator: a very good speaker and writer, comfortable intervening in public debates and communication with the media and active on social media;
  • You are dynamic, autonomous and result oriented, you take initiative and always aim for the extra-mile;
  • You have an extensive EU network and excellent networking skills;
  • You are fluent in English;
  • You have a Master’s Degree in political science, law, economics or similar; and
  • You have a proven track record of at least 10 years of work experience in EU affairs.

Your mission

You will be coordinating and executing the joint activities of the 10 organisations joining forces through the Electrification Alliance as Director. Reporting to the 10 Secretary Generals of the Alliance, the Director will be responsible for the advocacy strategy of the organisation:

  • Convene and lead EA Secretary General level meetings and ensure smooth communication within the alliance;
  • Develop the advocacy strategy of the Alliance and drive its implementation including building up and maintaining a strong network among EU policy makers;
  • Be the driving force in the Alliance’s activities towards policy makers (e.g. also organising events and workshops as well as communication campaigns), working in particular on the shaping and further implementation of the Commission’s Electrification Action Plan;
  • Conceive and execute impactful research and events; and
  • In all of the above you will work closely with the member organisations’ policy and communication teams.
