Job Title: Project Manager

Reports to: President of the Association

Job Summary:
Hydrogen Europe Research AIBSL seeks a Project Manager to oversee and manage research projects related to hydrogen technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring project success as a partner in these initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project / Tender management
    • Oversee the implementation of ongoing projects.
    • Execute tasks outlined in projects/tenders (desk research, surveys, report writing, etc.).
    • Ensure timely delivery and quality of project deliverables.
    • Manage application processes for new European projects, when applicable.
       
  • Policy monitoring and advocacy
    • Monitor and report on policy developments relevant to hydrogen and research sectors
    • Draft position papers and answer to relevant public consultations.
    • Develop activities based on emerging interests.
       
  • Organization and moderation of working groups
    • Organization and moderation of a monthly working group on policy.
    • Organization and moderation of a quarterly working group on skills, in collaboration with Hydrogen Europe.
       
  • Liaison with external partners
    • Represent the Association at events and conferences.
    • Contribute to activities of external partners (e.g. IPHE, UNIDO, GIZ, etc.)
       
  • Day to day business of the organization
    • Participation in Board meetings and General Assemblies, report on activities.
    • Participation in welcoming new members (primarily research universities/institutes).

      Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in European Affairs, Political Science, or a related field such as Engineering or Natural Sciences.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
  • Skills: organized, curious, self-motivated, analytical mindset, good public speaking, good writing abilities, and capable of independent work.

Working Conditions:

  • Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (40 hours/week).
  • Travel: Occasional travel for meetings and conferences.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Project Planning and Management: Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and motivating project teams, including researchers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating project progress and addressing concerns with clients, funders, and other relevant parties.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks to project success.
  • Deliverable Coordination: Ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Possessing a strong understanding of hydrogen technologies and research methodologies.

This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be a self-starter who can work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
