Victim Support Europe [1] (VSE) is the leading Europe-wide umbrella organisation for victims of crime. It is a dynamic organisation, going through an exciting period of expansion and development. It currently consists of 82 organisations from more than 30 countries. VSE advocates on behalf of victims, to make sure that throughout Europe all victims’ needs are respected and their rights recognised. The organisation aims to ensure that every victim of crime in Europe is able to access information and support services in the aftermath of crime, regardless of where the victim lives or where the crime took place.
Are you passionate about copywriting and multimedia storytelling? Do you want to use your skills to make a difference in the NGO sector and advocate for victims' rights? VSE is looking for a full-time Communications Intern to join our team for six months, starting May 2025.

What We’re Looking For
Education: A degree in communications, journalism, marketing, graphic design, or media studies.
Digital Skills: Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, InDesign).
Copywriting: Ability to write concise, and creative content.
Design & Video Editing: Basic skills in Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator. Willingness to learn under supervision.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written); another EU language is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate in a multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary team.
Terms of the contract
The position is based in VSE’s head office in Brussels. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the EU. VSE cannot assist non-EU Nationals to obtain a work permit or help with relocation costs.
The selected candidate will be offered a Belgian Convention d’immersion professionnelle (CIP) (38 hours/week) subject to a payment of 1060 euros per month. VSE grants our interns up to six days of extra-legal paid leave during the internship.
Desired starting date of assignment: May 2025.
