SENIOR POLICY ADVISOR, EU INDUSTRY TRANSITION, CLEAN ECONOMY, BRUSSELS
E3G is looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to support its Clean Economy Programme in driving our strategy on industrial decarbonisation and industrial policy in Europe. This role is based in E3G’s Brussels office.

E3G is an independent climate change think tank with a global outlook. We are world leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all.
We work on the frontier of the climate landscape tackling the barriers and advancing the solutions to a safe climate. Our goal is to translate climate politics, economics and policies into action.
E3G is consistently ranked as one of the top ten most influential environmental think tanks in the world by the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go To Think Tank Index.
Role
Based in the Clean Economy Team [1], this Senior Policy Advisor role will play a leading role in E3G’s strategy on accelerating industry decarbonisation and industrial policy in Europe.
The successful candidate will build out our strategy, identify priority interventions, and strengthen our network on industrial decarbonisation and industrial policy in Europe. The role will require a deep understanding of the climate transition in sectors including steel, cement and chemicals and a strong interest in the cross-cutting institutions and policies needed to deliver a climate-neutral European economy.
The role will require experience working with civil society, government and industry stakeholders, and a good understanding of EU politics and policy processes.

You are comfortable working on complex research projects and confident in running analytical processes. You will be able to help identify and engage with a range of external stakeholders to understand their perspectives and communicate ideas and findings.
